NHL Teams Ignore Everyone And Vote For Another Decentralized Draft
According to Sportsnet, just days after Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that teams supported the league's move to a "decentralized" draft format, meaning teams stay at home instead of traveling to the draft had support from teams, he's been proven right as a league vote yielded the result of sticking with the format for next year.
This is terrible news for fans, who overwhelmingly hated the new format, which is supposed to help speed things along, but somehow did the exact opposite. The first round of the draft ended up taking more than four hours.

Twins’ Byron Buxton hits for the cycle, the first at Target Field since the ballpark opened in 2010
Buxton became the first player to hit for the cycle at Target Field since the ballpark opened in 2010, helping ignite the Twins to a 12-4 win over the Pirates.
It was the 12th cycle in Twins history and the first since Jorge Polanco had one in 2019.
Buxton had three hits through three innings — a single in the first, a triple in the six-run second and a double in the third. After singling again in the fifth, he had one more opportunity in the bottom of the seventh.

Cooper Flagg scores nearly half of Mavericks' points in summer league showdown with No. 2 pick Dylan Harper

By his own admission, No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg's summer league debut on Thursday was not up to his standard. In his second outing on Saturday, however, the future of the Dallas Mavericks showed exactly why he's viewed as a generational prospect.
Flagg scored 31 points in 31 minutes in Saturday's showdown with No. 2 overall pick Dylan Harper, as the Mavericks fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 76-69.
His 31 points were the most by a No. 1 pick in the Las Vegas Summer League since John Wall in 2010, and some quick and easy math tells us that Flagg scored nearly half of his team's total -- an impressive feat, even in an exhibition.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been the subject of heavy trade rumors since his agent Rich Paul made a statement earlier this month that put some pressure on the Lakers to make good moves the rest of the offseason.
James was at Summer League on Saturday night to watch his son Bronny play.
And while there, James was asked by ESPN's Dave McMenamin if he wanted to join their broadcast for an interview.
LeBron's response:
"I ain't got nothing to talk about."
