NBA plans to enact anti-tanking rules next season, sources say
Commissioner Adam Silver informed the league's 30 general managers Thursday that the NBA plans to make anti-tanking rule changes for next season, sources told ESPN.
The league office's conversations with stakeholders from the board of governors, competition committee and GMs have been intensifying dialogue about combatting tanking -- including starting to propose potential concepts for changes in December during its meeting with owners.
During Thursday's GM meeting, Silver, the NBA office and the league's 30 top team executives shared a desire to have ongoing discussions to safeguard the integrity of the sport.

Super Bowl champion Seahawks announce franchise has begun formal sale process
The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have formally announced the team is up for sale.
The news comes less than two weeks after the Seahawks' win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8.
“The Estate of Paul G. Allen today announced it has commenced a formal sale process for the Seattle Seahawks NFL franchise, consistent with Allen's directive to eventually sell his sports holdings and direct all Estate proceeds to philanthropy”
Allen purchased the Seahawks in 1997 and earned the franchise's first Super Bowl win in 2013. Allen died in 2018 and his younger sister, Jody Allen, has served as chair of the Seahawks since then.
Paul Allen's will stipulated that the Seahawks would eventually be sold with the proceedings given to philanthropic efforts.
Bears' potential move to Indiana takes step forward
The Chicago Bears' potential move to Indiana took another step forward on Thursday when a key committee approved a plan to create an agency that would help get a stadium built.
The Indiana House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee passed a bill establishing a Northwest Indiana Stadium Authority to finance, construct and lease a stadium by a 24-0 margin. The Bears are looking at a tract of land near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Ind.
