Kevin Durant surpasses Kobe Bryant in most 30-point games of all-time

Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant surpassed the legend Kobe Bryant for the fifth-most 30-point games of all-time during Saturday's matchup against the Miami Heat.

Kerr walks back comments on Kristaps Porzingis' diagnosis
Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis will miss a fourth consecutive game on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Lakers with what the team is listing as a general illness.
"I can't really say anything more on it," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "It's a medical issue way beyond my capabilities explaining anything. He's sick. He won't play. We will keep monitoring him."
This comes one day after Kerr went on local Bay Area radio and stated that Porzingis isn't actually dealing with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), despite Porzingis publicly detailing his battle with it in the last year.

NHL Upgrades Blue Line, Goal Line Cameras At All 32 Arenas

The NHL is going ultra-high-resolution with new cameras for Coach’s Challenges and video reviews.
The National Hockey league, as part of a multi-year partnership with Cosm, has installed new multi-angle video capture systems in all 32 areans. Cosm touts this new setup, dubbed C360 Capture Systems, as more than just video.
It’s a fully integrated workflow that connects glass-level 10.5K capture with NHL EDGE puck- and player-tracking data and feeds it into Cosm’s CX Video Hub, a centralized cloud platform serving everyone from referees and player-safety staff to coaches, broadcasters, and social-media teams.
Each NHL arena has four new 10.5k ultra-high-resolution cameras – one behind each net and one on each blue line.

The NFL team eating $200 million to dismantle its roster
When Jon-Eric Sullivan was hired away from the Green Bay Packers front office to become the Miami Dolphins general manager last month, he didn’t hide from the enormous problem he had to confront.
Miami had tied its future to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa by handing him one of the largest contracts in the sport’s history. But when the team floundered—and Tagovailoa had to be benched—it became clear that whoever was in charge would have to figure out a way to move on from him.
Once Miami parts ways with Tagovailoa, he’ll account for $99 million against the team’s salary cap. In football jargon, that’s known as dead money because the player’s contract is still on the books even though he’s no longer on the roster.

New Red Sox jerseys made by Fanatics lead to criticism online

Spring Training is underway in Fort Myers, Florida. But around Boston it's the new Red Sox jerseys that are drawing the loudest reaction from fans.
Photos from Spring Training media day sparked a rash of criticism online, with some fans pointing out issues with the team's "home whites," including lettering appearing too close together and overlapping the red piping near the buttons.
The Red Sox initially responded to the backlash by saying the jerseys, once produced, "and seen in person, we felt could be cleaner in the spacing between the lettering and piping." The team added that, "in collaboration with MLB and Fanatics, we're adjusting the home whites to restore clearer separation. The updated jersey will be ready for Opening Day,"
